A total cost of more than VND 233 billion (US$10.26 million), the school is located at Bai Vong hamlet of Ham Ninh commune on Phu Quoc island of Kien Giang province and started ground on January 2016 with a covering over eight hectares.
It consists of three 3-storey buildings such as the practice sections of area 6.053 square meters, classroom and offices of area 8.000 square meters, dormitories of area 6.576 square meters.
Besides, the other areas used as the stadium, outside theatre, parking, water control area.
The school will enrol 207 students for the 2017-2018 academic year and essential career is tour guide, receptionist skills, restaurant services, hotel management.
Furthermore, the school also offers the short-term training class for example, housekeeping, office secretaries, makeup artists, designers.
On speaking at the ceremony, Mr Park Noh Wan – Korea Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city believed that the Vietnam – Republic of Korea Vocational school will contribute to Phu Quoc’s economic development and improve the mutual co-operation relationship.
Nguyen Hong Minh – the representative of Vietnam was glad and thanks to the Korea Teakwang Corporation in this investment.
Pham Vu Hong – the chairman of Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee expected that the school will train a lot of good students, which aims to service for businesses in Phu Quoc district in the future.
