The project of the Hon Thom – Phu Quoc cable car in Kien Giang province considering the world’s longest cable car link will official be open on Dec 2017

This project was broken ground last September and end December 2017. The cable car features 3 wires at 7.9 km (4.9mi) in length connecting from An Thoi town to Hon Thom islet of Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang province.
As the record, seventy 30 – passenger cabins, operating at a maximum speed of 8.5m/s will result in a line capacity of 3,500 pphpd.
Therefore, Hon Thom – Phu Quoc ropeway will be the world’s longest cable car. It will also feature towers that are 160m in height! This itself is quite impressive but somewhat pales in comparison to the 188.m record – setting towers in Ha Long Bay.
